New Zealand Testimonial Dean Malcolm - GEA iSPRAY On-Platform Teat Sprayer
Milking 950 cows through a 54-bail GEA rotary, Hinds Contract Milker, Dean Malcom, estimates a savings of $10,000 since installing the iSPRAY4 on-platform teat spray system in late 2022. A 10% drop in mastitis cases resulted in a drop in treatment costs, while integrating the iSPRAY4 with the FIL Intelliblend allowed for less teat spray wastage and human error with both mixing and application. Cows are sprayed 5 seconds after milking when the canals are open and at their most vulnerable, and Dean knows this is key to achieving udder health and ultimately, quality milk in the vat.
