Once your cleaning cycle is done, and you are ready to process product again, we have automated the Varipond P. This automation feature connects the automatic start and stop of the Varipond P to an operator adjustable torque value. As long as torque is below the set torque value, Varipond P is automatically shut off. Torque comes with solids. No solids in the bowl, no torque. The more solids in the bowl, the higher the torque. Once your decanter’s solids side is properly filled with solids, Varipond pressure is applied. Otherwise liquid might flood out the solids discharge. If torque drops, the Varipond turns off the pressure to reduce the pond, avoiding the flood.

Our Varipond P feature lets you change the pond depths inside the bowl to maximise your protein yield. Protein flocs tend to swim on the pond’s surface instead of being forces to the bowl wall which makes it likely that you will lose protein via the liquid discharge during concentration. By applying pressurized air the pond depth is changed and an additional plate prevents the protein flocs to leave the bowl with the clarified liquid.
