GEA celebrates 100 Years of Farm Innovation
For 100 years, GEA has shaped the future of dairy farming – from the first bucket milking unit to fully automated, digitally connected systems. Along the way, we've helped transform an industry: away from the burden of manual labor toward greater productivity, animal welfare and more efficient day-to-day operations. It all started in 1926, when Ramesohl & Schmidt – later Westfalia Separator AG – launched their first bucket milking system. The Kirchhoff family, seen here on their farm near Kassel, Germany, were among the first to put it to work. To honor this moment, we brought the archive to life. Watch the story unfold – and stay curious for what comes next.
