Containment in the Pharma industry

I am David Johnson and I am the Sales Director for the contain materials handling for GEA APC pharma. I am attending ACHEMA 2018 to promote our contain materials hunting products, including our BUCK® MC valve and our Hicoflex® single-use disposable systems. Our BUCK® MC valve is really a step forward on all other containment valves in the marketplace. The fundamental advancement from our MC valve is the move away from an active and a passive half. We now have two half valves which are both driven by the same actuator. This is a big improvement on the more traditional alpha beta valves. Having both valve halfs driven allows a much more even distribution of pressure across the disk files, which gives them much better alignment and joining of the disks. This is critical for high containment performance. The BUCK® MC valve offers our customers a modular approach to containment. We have very simple manual solutions to get them introduced to containment materials handling, right up to very advanced solutions that can provide very high containment levels down to 0.1 to 1 micrograms per cubic meter. And we have the integration knowledge aswell with our materials handling. So we know best how to integrate our valve into the full solution. It is not just a single component supply. We are supplying a complete solution from dispensing right through to tablet press. But we do everything inbetween. So we really glue the whole process together in a contain way.
